On 7th March researcher Elson Aca from WWF Phillipines and BIO Gilbert Guadamor discovered what is believed to be the smallest living specimen of a whale shark in the World. Measuring only 15 inches (38 centimeters) in length. The discovery of this small shark in Donsol Philippines - and an additional discovery of yet an other small one a few days later - give strong indications that this area might be a breeding ground for whale sharks.
