Rollin' On Down the Highwood Pass

This is the summit of the Highwood Pass, Kananaskis Country, in the Alberta Rocky Mountains. It is the highest point in Canada accessible by a paved road. We had planned to start our hike up to Ptarmigan Cirque alpine meadow from the summit but the trail was closed due to grizzly bear activity so we decided to head on down the pass to find another trail and picnic spot.
