Marisa Ventura (J-lo) is a single mom living in New York City, she works as a maid at a top Manhattan hotel. Marisa meets Christopher Marshall (Fiennes), a handsome, rich, heir to a political dynasty, who believes that she is also a guest at the hotel. The pair spend some time together until Marisa's true identity is revealed, the two find that they are worlds apart.
