Philippines Customs Seizes Smuggled Firearms Shipment

The 2400-ton MV Captain UFUK was intercepted with 15 wooden crates on board. Five of the crates contained 50 rifles, plus magazines and accessories, made in Indonesia. Ten crates were found empty. : "The mere fact that we have already seen boxes which have already been unloaded, 15 boxes of these guns have already been unloaded. And that completes the definition of importation, that all the guns are intended here for the Philippines." Customs police are now in custody of the guns and the ship.
